The Canto Redondo restaurant belongs to Casa da Calçada – a luxury hotel in Amarante (northern Portugal) and was built to honour the Count of Redondo, a historic figure and the first owner of the palace that is today the Casa da Calçada.
The expression Canto Redondo refers to the discovery of something more, something different. Usually the corners have angles, they are not round. The logo intends to emphasize the round corner and keeping the palatial aspect and at the same time the modern side that is found throughout the space.
